Glad you sorted it.

If you hold the bottom handle and spin the top one down until there is no more slack then you can just use the top one, shouldnt have to unless the headset doesnt fit properly or is at an angle then your best off not doing it at all. And the CK headsets require different adapters to avoid damaging the cups/bearings.
