Dave Lloyd Concept-90 Reynolds-753

cipolinni

Old School Grand Master
Recently purchased a very nice Dave Lloyd Concept-90 frameset
Reynolds 753 tubing

This might sound awful but build will be mix of modern components.
I think it's a great idea although some purists might disagree

Honest opinions would be appreciated.

This bike will be ridden regularly in the welsh hills.

Re:

A very interesting frame which I'm sure will ride like a dream.

As for the colour scheme, it's very Cipollini!

Nothing wrong with newer equipment on an older frame, very often makes it more practical too.

Great bike by the way.

Re:

looks great with those wheels

Only thing I'd be changing is the bars for some with compact drops

Re:

Nice frame mate. I seen this on the bay nearly bought full bike but opted to build something else. Love the paint scheme

Re:

I saw that for sale and was willing it to find a good home.

Mine is made of Deda Zero and rides really well, but on the rougher country roads around here it can at times be a little too stiff / harsh, on smoother roads it is a dream to ride and is built up using modern SRAM / Dura Ace 10 speed.

Looking forward to seeing how your build goes.

That is a nice steed neil . My next project is definitely going to be a Dave Lloyd old/new build. Love the mono stay design on his frames and the practicalitity of new equipment. Sometimes change is good. I've already bought the bontrager carbon wheels with ambers.
