Cannondale M800 Beast of The East

I'm thinning down my collection and this superb Cannondale is one that must go. It dates from about 1993 and the frame has been professionally refinished in pearl white by Bob Jacksons and barely used since. It is large size and would suit riders of about 5ft 8in to 5ft 11in.

The componentry is mostly new old stock and most of it is period correct, or close enough. The chainset and pedals are different from the pics so check the spec list below.

I acquired this bike some years ago but have only ridden it a handful of times so it should really go to a new owner who will make better use of it.

Spec as follows:

M800 BoTB frame in pearl white (seat tube 18in) with GT CroMo front forks, FSA headset and adaptor shims to suit 1 1/8 forks

Fred Salmon Racing integrated stem and bars combo (very light)

Shimano XT rear derailleur 8-speed

Shimano LX front mech

Sugino Impel triple chainset

Shimano bottom bracket (can't recall which type, but not a cheap one)

Shimano 8sp cassette

Shimano LX hubs with FIR rims (worn braking surfaces) and stainless spokes

WTB Velociraptor amber wall tyres

Shimano XT Vee brakes (could provide cantis if preferred)

Shimano XT shifters

Shimano LX brake levers

Kore Elite seatpost

Flite titanium saddle

Look at the pictures and you will see that everything is in tip-top condition. This is a very lightweight bike and rides really well, but it is a tad small for me.

I am looking for around £350 for this beauty.

Any queries, call Martin on 01491 638307

May consider splitting if enough interest but prefer to sell complete.

I may be able to help with delivery as I regularly travel between Brighton and Berwick-upon-Tweed. The bike is in South Oxfordshire.

Re: Cannondale Beast of the East

My old bike. I had it sprayed the Metallic Pearlescent White you see today. Would have to say im sure its good for people up to 6'2" though.

Re: Cannondale Beast of the East

Well, well, bet you're pleased to see it's still in fine fettle.

I never really used it as iI thought it was too good to get mucky. I guess it would be okay for taller riders but it would be a bit arse-in-the-air.

Re: Cannondale Beast of the East - Price Drop!

Someone please buy it - I really don't want to resort to fleabay!
