Can anyone help with this Cannondale?

Hello, first-time poster here looking for some help. I bought this at a car boot sale this morning for £5 - it was caked in mud and needed a puncture repair but basically sound and rideable. It has an eleven digit serial number which seems to date it between 1986 and 1992 but I'd love to know a bit more about it. The main Cannondale lettering has disappeared but the paint is slightly lighter where it once was. It feels great to ride and will soon be 'zipping' up on to Salisbury Plain if my legs can make it All comments and thoughts gratefully received!

Yeah looks like a 93 m800 beast of the east to me. Not original paint, probably the decal shadows you can see are the effect of them being painted over.
