Bottom Bumbaklarts, Ar%e Widgets and other cycle related sores!!!

How do we combat cycling related sores and rubbing injuries

always combatted the hand calluses and dry skin forever

but as I ve got older I know have to try and combat other sometimes scary sores and the odd ingrower in other regions

what’s everyone’s top tips on this sometimes very uncomfortable subject ?

the first rule of sores is we don't talk about sores.

udderly smooth chamois cream.
decent shorts (good, doesn't mean expensive)
correct saddle and riding position.

distance of ride pays in to how much effort you need to put in.

As @novocaine says
Gucci Gooch Goo, I use Chapeau but only cos I get it cheap and I'm tight, works for me. There's plenty of others.
Also on the shorts front, admit to yourself when they're past their best. That 10 year old pair that you've worn and washed on every ride since you bought them should probably go in the bin. The pads compact and get hard with time. Again as @novocaine says they don't have to be expensive and a pair of basic, Endura for example, are going to be better than knackered Raphas.
