Bar extension mount thingy to give an extra piece of 22.2mm handlebar?

I have a RockShox with a Poploc type remote lockout and its clamp is designed for a 22.2mm bar. Only I'm planning to use it with a 31.8mm drop bar (all is explained here: https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/carbon-full-sus-drop-bar-gravel-bike-experiment.462731/), and once I fit it there will be no 22.2 part of that bar exposed to install the Poploc remote on.

I think what I need is a handlebar extension mount like these:

although I would probably tuck it under the bars a bit more unobstrusively...

However the cheap ones on Amazon all seem to have dreadful reviews. Has anyone come across a decent product that does this job? I actually have an old carbon flat bar I could cut to make the 22.2 extension bit, if I could buy the clamp part separately.

How bad can the cheap ones be really? They're holding accessories like a Garmin, or a light etc, not a rider's weight. Ok, a poploc might see a bit more force exerted, but I would think it'd be fine.
