I've just had a look at an enlargement of the photo and YES Thats Rooks on a TVT 100%

Actually, could you also have a closer look at that "steel" Zullo in that same picture? No polished lugs but it does sport the "inward bend" upper section of the seat stays also seen with TVT.

I think it is Steve in 1988 on a greenish-blue Villiger branded TVT from the La Suisse team (not 7-Eleven). The Reynolds rider is a giveaway (in 1990 when Steve also wore Yellow the Reynolds team had become Banesto).

Just had a look & it is a TVT like you say I can't see the polished lugs but the seat stay & the brake bridge confirm it.
Just to confuse people even more TVT made later frames with out the alloy head lugs, so that is not always a 100% way of identifying one.

Thanks for the pic of that later frame, makes you wonder if there was anyone left in 1991 who - apart from Lemond on a disguised Merlin - wasn't on TVT. Even Big Mig was on TVT that year...
