Best setup for a Colnago thats going to be ridden?

I put a Campy Athena alloy crank with an alloy Potenza group on my new Arabesque build and it looks great. Go with the medium rear hanger and you can go up on the gearing for the hills.

Re: New Colnago Arabesque Build - Build Photos Added Wow, I have not heard of problems with the later Colnagos. My experience has been positive. I went a did double check my clear coat and it seems flawless. I have no complaints. Sorry to hear about the less than quality outcomes. These...

Re: New Colnago Arabesque Build - Build Photos Added Sorry to hear about the bad paint on the frame. You must be pretty frustrated. I can't imagine a flaw that big would go unnoticed. I hope it wasn't dropped.

New Colnago Arabesque Build - Completed

Re colnago I understand the frustration. I ordered mine last November and got it in February. They are hand made and not a mass production item. You will be the only one in the neighborhood that will have one, lol.

New Colnago Arabesque Build - Completed

Re: New Colnago Arabesque Build I like your concept build on your Arabesque. I kept mine a little more traditional without too much carbon, albeit mine did have carbon hubs. I'm kind of liking the rhino seat. It will be interesting when you put it all together. How long did they quote you...

New Colnago Arabesque Build-New Pics! Almost Finished!

Re: New Arabesque Build What till you see the frame in person. It is simply stunning and only a few hundred grams heavier than carbon. When you pick it up, it is VERY light. The little I have ridden it so far is proving to be a good decision. I don't see this bike being out of date anytime...

Campagnolo Record 8sp hubs conversion to 10sp

Re: If you want to go new. The new Campy Potenza offers an 11-32 cassette. I just had mine installed on a new Colnago. That 32 tooth is a mountain goat. I also suffer from the age/hill ratio and it is a nice backup on those days you don't feel as spunky as you were thirty years ago...

    New Colnago Arabesque Project Complete

Re: I am sure the Boras are nice wheels, but I wanted stay closer to the retro asthetic, plus those Neutrons are no slouch. At some point, the project cost has to be somewhat close to the project intent.

    New Colnago Arabesque Project Complete

Besides the nice gold and red colour of the frame, it rides as good as it looks. It has nice light handling, very smooth, quick response, and easy on the eyes to boot. When you pick it up, you would not believe it is steel. You have to give Campy some credit with those Neutron wheels though.

    New Colnago Arabesque Project Complete

I took delivery today on the custom build Colnago Arabesque. Very pleased with the result and I expect many happy miles/kilometers ahead. It is very light handling and the Campy Neutron wheels make it nice and snappy on acceleration. Hard to believe this is a steel bike. The new Potenza...
