    most of the maverick was carried straight over from the special edition 5 speed raleigh bomber. seat and post, crank, chain rings and bottom bracket, chrome rims, rear cassette, dérailleur, chain guard, U brakes, frame construction, head set, grips and end caps.

    good point, they were the same filament bulbs in both so i just got a pair of 0.5w L.E.D, so thats option 2 i think! any colour you like as long as its gloss black :P

    depending what the paint is (off the shelf brushed on stuff, or rattle can) "standard thinners" (cellulose) will wipe it off

    i think i remember a few of these in the sheds at school in the late 80s early 1990s, when MTB craze kinda gained momentum over bmx. or maybe i dont if its a later model, i'm not au fait with the time line. i had a SIS raleigh mustang at the time with similar snake skin splatter paint type...

    few detail bits. new croysdale hub cleaners installed ! shrink wrap on rear brake stays so it don't scratch mi' paint retrofitted grifter front brake stays random shiny shot dug an old post office bike seat out of the shed just so i can have a go, doesn't look out of place tbh ...

    i'm reading between the lines, are you saying 1/4" bolts holding slender seat stays to chain stay, horizontal drop outs, blades butt welded to the crown on the forks, might not be very durable :lol:
