Well guys... The old FSR has been good to me and taken a beating well beyond what it was ever made to take, but today it's younger brother finally arrived! 2014 Specialized Enduro 29er Untitled by glenpxc, on Flickr Untitled by glenpxc, on Flickr

Sounds like mostly XC stuff? I'd go with an air sprung fork with around 100mm of travel and a rear air shock. Rear shock size is 165mm by 55mm in case you were wondering. Personally I like fox float shocks and forks, but a friend of mine swears by his rock shox reba. I have a 130mm fox float...

Well no matter anymore, someone else beat my bid. Although I did take some measurements and I don't think it's possible with the stock link since there isn't a lot of room between it and the shock. In other news, got my decals today! Brand new from 99 still in the package Decided repainting...

So I know the shock is 6.5 x 1.5 with the stock link, but anyone tried or think I can run a 6.75 x 1.5 shock?

They should work no problem. Just make sure that the steerer tube is 1 1/8 diameter and that it is long enough.

Just got these from ebay :) Gonna repaint the frame as well, I'm thinking either white or gunmetal gray. Course I might just do glossy black to for simplicity.

1999 Ground Control FSR Sport Build

Hacked up the a2z adapter a bit so I can put the back wheel on and off with having to take it off. Actually works better this way.

Well I finally got sick of having to take the a2z adapter off every time I got a flat, especially since the trail by where I currently live has a ton of thorns. So I hacked it up a bit and drilled a hole in it to match the one that is on the frame for the sharkfin. Actually turned out really...

It's my first full suspension and build so everything is pretty trial on error. I've always looked at it and thought it might be in the way, but where I live now doesn't have big drops like that so I never hit full compression. That one took a few attempts to finally jump since the run up is...

Yup, that seems to have done the trick. I feel like that's how it was suppose to be set up from the start... oh well learn from experience.

So I was reading around and some people suggested setting up the front mech taking into account the sag. So basically one could set it up higher and on the stand the chain would rub but when you sit on it then it wouldn't. Might try it if I cant find a better solution. And yes this has to be...
