My problem is this: I am considering selling my Bontrager Privateer and have no idea what it is worth. It is in very good nick for a bike of its age and is all-original including the forks. It was dealer serviced last year and so is ready to go. I am also a bit thick as to the best way that I...
Re: WATCH OUT FAKER ON CRAIGLIST ABERDEEN KLEIN MOONRISE 19"
Same address as last time Hugo. I suppose that all I can do is confirm that someone called Roy Barber does not live at this address in Aberdeen. Shame really as I wanted to meet this guy and give him a kick in the nuts!
Re: WATCH OUT FAKER ON CRAIGLIST ABERDEEN KLEIN MOONRISE 19"
If anyone can get the Aberdeen address or phone number that this scammer is using I'll check it out. I almost wish he was at the address as I would very like to meet him!
Re: WATCH OUT FAKER ON CRAIGLIST ABERDEEN KLEIN MOONRISE 19"
Don't worry Hugo. My next door neighbour has a garage door just like the one in the picture.
Re: Re:
It should be remembered that the original ad only pictured the bike against a white garage door without the other stuff in view.. We have white garage doors in Aberdeen. It was only when we got suspicious that Hugo found the other pics of the bike from a couple of years ago.
Re: WATCH OUT FAKER ON CRAIGLIST ABERDEEN KLEIN MOONRISE 19"
The point here is Hugo that the address the seller gave you is for Aberdeen, Scotland. He included the postcode which is for Aberdeen, Scotland. He also didn't reply to my emails as to why he wasn't at home when I went to the...
The bike is a 7000zx circa mid to late 90s. It was my son's bike which is why I'd like to get it looking and riding nice again. If the paint is too expensive I may just change the colour. Any ideas?
Here's the machine itself:-
Nothing wrong with a bit of passion! Anyway, here's a new question: Will it be possible to paint the Trek in it's original colour and then get original decals. Or perhaps I should just go for a new colour scheme.
Don't worry. I got my answer. The Trek can once again ride with a new coat of paint and I can make up a bike from the Giant Boulder frame. I'm away to get some popcorn now to see how this develops. :-)
Might change my mind now as this frame seems only to need a repaint. The steel frame I have is from a mid-90s Giant Boulder. I think I'll accumulate the necessary components second-hand and do it that way. Thanks for the replies folks.
