I have been buying and selling bikes like these for the last few years. My supply was a guy who had the tip tender, and at the time, he couldn't keep up, I was paying between £5 and £15 per bike. I've had Ribble, a Raleigh Gran Sport, high end Peugeot and Raleigh....in fact my garage currently...

I picked mine up at the weekend on the car boot, a year or two older than yours, and a little more pitting than that too. I've had a quick look at it with the T-cut and it's getting most of it off with elbow grease. I'm just glad my £15 wasn't wasted :lol:
