This make 3 builds since buying my GT in July :roll: Think I may have the bug :shock:

I got this cheap, the paint is chipped, but It's a rider so I can live with that. How it was And now, New Blank white seat, skyways white grips, white DiamondBack tyres, NOS Ruption chogger bars.

For £9 this was a beater, it has come up nice, the only major spend was the mags (Which i couldn't resist :roll: ) I've since de anodised and polished the caliper and given the chainring a light rub over to remove the purple ring and cd lettering. So now all black which matches the other bits.

Added a pair of NOS Acorn mags, these are cream, hoped to bleach them, not sure it'll work, so leaving it for now! Tell me what you think, My lad should be happy :D

Cheers, I've had a sneaky test ride, its not a bad ride, nice and light, easy to hop and throw about. Makes my GT feel like dead weight :lol:

Spit and polish up, front gt rim, generic rear, diamondback white tyres, GT platform pedals, GT grips, Tektro brake lever, used the mx style caliper that was on it. need to find a 22.2 seatpost to finish off, generic black plastic seat waiting to go on. Total cost of £9 f+f (bars, giro and...

:lol: The thought has crossed my mind, it is the right shape, and most of the bits i got to put on it are off a GT so...:twisted: I'm going to start stripping it down and cleaning the frame up tomorrow. Pics will follow as i go :wink:

Going to use spoked rims, as i got a few pairs knocking about, a pair of white tyres also in the shed. A good clean and polish of the frame and see how it looks. Depending on the condition I will re place bearings, chain, cables etc.. I have a pair of matt black bars and forks which might go...

I don't like to talk about your £4 bin find bendycat, It makes me all hot and bothered :lol: I've just bought the same pedals as Cossiemark (Odyssey cage) to go on my Performer, slowly adding more chrome/silver parts.

Do you know this for sure? over on the BMX museum i have looked through all the GTs and it looks to be as the 98 models. I can't work out the serial numbers, seems to have 2 sets. Any help apprieciated. :D I see now the difference in the decals, so would agree this looks to be a 2000 :wink...
