I am going to set up a time trial event for vintage and veteran bikes next summer, I have got some interest from a large group on facebook ... We have a likely venue in the West Midlands... closed road 1.5km .. with a bar... The plan would be to have lots of different categories so shoppers...

My aged C16 has come back to me and needs to go back out the door.... I sold it to a mate to turn into an Ebike ... so he has stuck motor brackets on it, taken [carefully] the brake bosses off and added brackets for disc brakes.... that is what makes it rare... haha.. he used it on the Malverns...

well sort of.... As used on yesterday's sportive in Staffordshire. The bike did get round pretty quickly, 66 miles in 4hrs 18 mins inc a big climb over Cannock Chase. Actual time was 5hrs but that was due to 2 punctures.... brief stops for water. Amazingly quick for such an old bike...

has anyone got any in clean condition? 105 Ultegra, Dura Ace etc.... Would like some that can be used friction and indexed so the SL-R400 don't fit the bill.... I need some to go on a renovated 1980s Holdsworth. Cheers, Steve.

Something I do occasionally... time trials on retro bikes... mostly on a 1964 Moulton with some cheaty bits.. ie tri bars :-) I would be interested in hearing from others who do this sort of thing.. Always amusing beating riders who are on 17lb superbikes :lol:

Fairly well used small frame, mid 80's? . good tube set and decent drop outs etc. Fork crown has rusted a bit ugly.Rear adjusters are bent.. . but nothing terminal. 130mm rear end . Canti bosses and drilled for calipers. guard eyes. reason for sale.. g/f bought it then found her dream bike...

Well almost... Bought from a local s/h shop the other week.... As original , very very low mileage Raleigh Quadra with all original parts..... 531 frame and forks, Shimano 105 14 speed groupset. Some new Conti Grand Prix tyres have been put on it to sell.... I went for a ride round the block...

In excellent not used much condition. Frame is an alloy hardtail . size c-t is 15 3/4 inch or 40cm . Forks are Manitou Skareb Elite SPV with Acros A1 03 h/set [new] . The forks are low pressure so you don't need to use a high pressure pump, they do seem to need inflating regularly though...

I have posted this on a couple of other forums but and pretty pleased with the results, might be helpful to others.... If your 4 speed slips out of 1st gear due to worn out lever spring I have an answer.... follow the instructions with the pics on my flickr pages...
