Here's my Shimano branded 1983 Raleigh made at the Worksop factory. Think the original decals were removed and replaced with Shimano stickers for a trade show... Built up as a single speed whilst I collect parts to restore it.

Where did you get your long drop tektro rim brakes from? Also are they nutted or recessed bolt? Looks great with the silver seat post, stem etc. Want the same look with mine.

Unfortunately the original bike shop has closed after 80 years in business! Does anyone have any good contacts for Raleigh historians/websites etc?

Re: No sign of any braze ons. Just marking to the paintwork in that area. I will post a few more pictures this afternoon that may help to identify it. Cheers for all your help so far.
