It's in the diary and I'll try and contrive to be in Embra that weekend. Pressure now on the get the decals made up for the Tufftrax...

My hack could be the Eiger Tufftrax clone so we might match! You sourced some original 89 Tufftrax decals pal?

No original decals available I'm afraid, but I've spoken to Gil_m and he can do a set if artwork is available, or make ones up, I assume from photographs.

I'm in the process of having a go at the artwork myself, but feel that Gil could do a better job- are you interested in a set yourself? Fancy going halfers on getting Gil to do the job?

One of the things I lack however is a photo of the Tange Butted CroMo sticker at the foot of the seat tube. Can you get a picture of this?

I joined the clan for the route recce yesterday. Fantastic route, great scenery, brilliant craic as usual. It's going to be a great weekend. Don't miss out guys!

Are there any campsites B&B's etc nearby?? Could anyone recommend some??

Cheers.

Camping

Rosetta Road Caravan park (nicest of the two and about a 15 minute walk into town)

Crossburn Caravan Park

and Innerleithen Holiday Park (which isn't in Peebles)

There are lots of B&Bs in Peebles

Lindores Guest House and Whitestone House are both in Peebles and about 2 minutes walk from the High Street. Both have been around with the same owners since I was a kid.

Theres also a heck of a lot more than Glentress around Peebles, some of the old Drove roads go across the hills for miles (well they actually end up in East Anglia, but thats a different question)

You can also camp at GT next to the Pods, £15 a night per tent I think and use of facilities the pods get.

It is per pitch not per person so 4 in a tent would be very cost effective, showers and cooking facilities are there if you camp.

Four in my little tent wouldn't be legal (although maybe North of the border it's ok...)

As long as three are sheep your fine. Aberdeenshire and Fife don't have a limit FYI.
