I am finally building up my Koga Miyata Gents Luxe S frame and have run into a snag. I am using Nuovo Record which, although not DA AX or EX as original with these frames, will look sweet. But I have a problem with the downtube shifters. The braze-on on the frame are kind of keyhole shaped and not square like I am used to. As a consequence the NR shifters just don't fit. What's the deal here? Do I need AX or EX shifters? Or am I missing something here?
Any ideas? Koga buffs?
