I don't know what that cats whiskers thing is, but it hits the spot for me...

Three UK custom frame builders building silly name custom MTB's.

Chas Roberts did the DOGS BOLX
Dave Yates did the DONKIS NOB
Dave Lloyd did the CATS WISKAS (and the BEES NEES) - Fillet Brazed Columbus and Reynolds

I've tried to build it and use it like I would have done had I owned it from back in the day (without breaking it like I broke all I owned).

No XTR because XT is all you need - when you break things as often as I do/did XT is not incredibly painful - I still use this ethos.
The rest is in my opinion some of the best fitting, best functioning, and most reliable of riding kit available through the life of the bike - with a nice twist of colour
The stem and bars have been with me since 1995 and seatpost matches - nice  .
I've avoided NOS because I use the bike, and not in a gentle way  I've already broken two Pace forks on it in the two years I've been riding it

PS - I like the look of Breezers but when I borrowed one BITD I ended up sticking to the sheets for weeks with terrible gravel rash.

who voted for mine???

Even I went for the Koga, it was a hard decision between that, the Carlton and the Mantis.

I don't care what anyone else says, you're the best member here. :xmas-big-grin:

Really tough to decide, but I had to vote before reading other's comments and voted Mantis. It is really different from the rest and I love the super clean build. :)

Runners up were Clockworkgazz Jr's Orange and the Marin team Ti

I have to say I plugged my own entry with my vote. I've never done that before, so I feel a little funny doing that, and I'm strangely motivated to 'come clean' and own my vote. So there...I voted for the EWR.

I think it's the candidate for me, too. I love the way the first Breezer looks from a cleanliness perspective, and there's real effort in the build, but I just don't think much of Breezers... BP's Mantis is nice too, but it's not my cup or brew. The Fuquay and the white Fat are nice too look at also.

A good month for sure, but the dumptruck gets my vote! EWR! :p
