Right, i may have a problem on the saturday - i've just landed a new job in a bike shop which is awesome news as i've been made redundant from the bank i work at. The only thing being, i'll be starting the new job either that week or the week before and will probably (most likely) be needed to work the 25th. I'm a bit gutted as i'll finally have my lava dome finished (if i get it back from bob jacksons in time). Anyways, i digress - i'm gonna try get over on saturday night to join in with beer & sunday riding at the least.

It's getting a mighty big list. Can I make one recommendation - can we all wear some sort of sticker or badge with our username and real name on it - even if it's just for a few hours? Could be on the bike, on our helmet, chest, whatever.
I've been to a few Retrobike shindigs now, hoping to bump into someone or other in particular only not to be able to identify them in the crowd!!
The one time I went on and we did wear stickers it worked really well.
You can then very quickly get over that awkward "Who are you?", "I'm-Orange71-but-I-do-have-a-real-name-and-am-not-just-a-geek-who-hangs-out-on-a-bike-forum" moment!!

At the very beginning I had a possible doubt about getting there and have now confirmed that I won't. Mrs Ned is starting a daily course of treatment at a Hull hospital next Monday for at least 6 weeks so we don't yet know how this will affect her - and therefore me. All I do know is that I'll be driving there and back every day as she has been told not to drive after treatment. The weekends will become a bit 'precious' to us and she may well be extremely tired so I'd rather say no now.
If things turn out OK then one day may be a possibility but that will have to be confirmed at the time.
Hope it all goes well, I'll be reading all the write-ups!
