Sorry if it was a little bit unPC, just trying to rally the troops in a humourous way. Apologies if any offence was caused to either NE and Yorks or the special olympics.
We should not be argueing amonst ourselves as if we wipe each other out before the race, we wont be able to help each other pick up the dead and wounded afterwards
We will all just be retrobikers on the day regardless of race, religion, creed or 'specialness'.

but seriously, planning to have a bit of a hoon on the way down, any good driving roads on the way?

Driving roads? Take the A19 to the whitby and ravenscar turn off, continue along following signs for Whitby and Guisbro' along The Whitby Road, keep on the bypass past guisbro' until you climb the bank into the North Yoor Moors. Once on the top look for a right turn sp. Castleton, Rosedale. This is one of the best roads on the moors, great views, high speed, jumps, flowing corners and a few to keep you on yer toes- I made Sithlord sick last time we went down- hehe!
Follow road via Castleton, Rosedale and Cropton (and the amusingly named Bell End) and this eventually brings you out on the A170 near Pickering (which is best place to stock up on supplies before Dalby.

BTW whose feckin idea was it to head into the hills with these two?????
