Sakae Litage Rider 1990, NOS- Vintage, Retro MTB, Shimano

Dirt Disciple
This is a retro porn from 1990. Unthreatened and first set up.

SAKAE Litage Rider in pearl black / neon yellow with 80ies decor - all in great condition. Sakae as the japanese frame builder has developed the press-fitted / bolted aluminium tubes technique. The pipes are bonded to inner sockets by thermal bonding which is a similar process to that on which the Titanal frames are based. The process was called "Litage".

The beautifully crafted frames (internal trains 1990) are famous and the Rider is unique. I've never seen one in that color combination before.

The frame has nearly no signs of use, only the storage is on the right rear end 4-5 small chips and on the top tube. 2 mm diameter. Tried to make it look as good in the pictures as possible.

The Rock Shox Quadra 10 suspension fork is also good in shot and fits perfectly to the frame.

The SAKAE Litage Rider is equipped with a contemporary Shimano XT/LX group from the 90s - at the crank a few traces of use, the levers and canti-brakes nearly as good as new - and clear, works like a charm, just like the first day.

Size: top tube middle/middle ca. 57 cm, seat tube middle bottom bracket / tube end ca. 52 cm See pictures

That paint is ridiculous! I think 'Rider' is the brand it was sold under, it isn't the model and I recognise the font from some jerseys and parts, Sakae sold a lot of road and mountain frames to other companies who used it as part of their line-up with new paint and/or decals (including 3Rensho) as it was one of the lightest framesets available at the time.

Re:

Rider was a Belgian brand back in the nineties. Famous for their triathlon bikes (and team). Here's Wito De Meulder (Ultra triathlete) in action in 1992.
