Colnago Tecnos Rabobank colours

It's a Tecnos, one below the Master.......................

( I do have 2 Masters, a Master X-Lite and a Master Olympic also )
Actually, the Tecnos was on equal footing with the Master. The Master was the Colnago flagship model, so it was the top of the line model, but the Tecnos was considerably lighter, and just as stiff. In fact, the Tecnos was the lightest steel bike Colnago ever made.

From 1997, both models sold for the same price, and the top of the range paint schemes (reserved for the top of the range bikes) were applied to both the Master AND Tecnos and no others except the occasional OvalMaster (Titanium). A pro team colour scheme like Rabobank colours was definitely reserved only for the top of the range bikes.

I suspect the Tecnos would have superceded the Master in much the same way that the Master superceded the Super, except the march of progress got in the way. Not long after the new Millienium, steel bikes fell out of favour, and Colnago dabbled in Aluminium (Dream), Titanium (Titanio), and Carbon fibre (C35, C40, etc.) before market forces drove all modern bikes to Carbon.
