How relevant! I'm now recovering from deep tissue injury from a ti flite. Too many miles uncomfortable has taken it's toll. Gonna be off the bike for most of this year now. Couple of weeks later I did a charity ride without dramas but set recovery back a little.
Femoral bicep and gastroc are strained but the main injury site is gluteus minimus.
Now I have to choose saddles really carefully. Specialised do a good range of saddle that are designed with care. I got through the last ride on an ageing body geometry model but now looking at the modern ones.
My fault really, I took the weight saving thing too far and now I'm suffering for my art! Ti rails have a good shock absorption quality but the seat has too be right for you. I know this,now. I have a physically strenuous job that sets me up badly for a weekend ride. Something too easily overlooked.
I've seen the error of my ways. I'd rather buy a new and pricey saddle at say 30 quid rather than spend 200 on a full suspension bike for comfort, that I cannot store so easily.

I got the Selle Italia 'Man' saddle after having a go of the 'Lady' version on my girlfriend's bike. Comfort-wise, they're like chalk and cheese compared to the likes of the Flite. Just the right amount of padding for a really comfortable seat without looking too much like a sofa.

Odd choice, but I really like the Orange own brand gel saddles that came on the lower range bikes, like the clockwork 92.. also really like rolls and flite saddles, regularly use the rolls for cycle tours, and have a flite on my race bike!

Odd choice? On the discussions it is decided that flite, eth and specialized body geometry, were the best. Flite doesn't work for me anymore so trying the body geometry.
