avon and somerset police field auction

One of these sort of things coming up at my work later in the year. Had an early look and there is a Clockwork, Bear Valley, Rockhopper, McRae Kona and some other bits that will cropping up. Likely to go for peanuts so will be filling the garage with frames to move on. Such a shame when people abandon their bikes.
 
How does this work? it's people put the highest bid for item to win it? and then you pay the Police for your winning item?

well i went

a cockup on timings meant i missed out on the following

Tidy Lugged Alan with 70's looking campag
Cannondale with a complete M735 groupset in good order


those were probably the highlights.
 
the red un? i think i saw it being loaded onto a van

did you spot the polished cannondale with the red pepperonis?
 
yeah, it was sort orangey red colour. def didn't see the cannondale. saw the GT i drive, the ALAN and khs, oh and the kona.
It was interesting to go to that auction though!, those bikes must have been lying around for a long time!
 
I missed it when I realised exactly how far it was (+ it was pissing it down when I woke up). what sort of prices did things go for?
 
i dont know i missed most of the sales

a minter than mint lemond versailles with a crap back wheel went for £320 though
