Interested in Tune Ti steerer. 425mm seems long. Two questions, do you think the base of it will fit a Manitou 1 crown with the correct taper to seat a crown race ? Or is this machined specifically for another incompatible fork brand ? Secondly, do you think I could cut it down to size from the top and use it properly as a 1 1/8th threadless steerer without using any adapter ?
