I always think trying to match the original colour is fraught with problems. In my eyes it never looks quite right when done, especially with strong colours.
If you wanted to try something else then maybe have a look at bead blasting. I had my 98 bomber lowers bead blasted as the paint was poor. The finish was very nice when done and it was only £15.

I got the decals from Gil and he did an excellent job. All the rebuild parts came from UKBikeStore who are ace with marzocchi parts as I understand they are next door to Windwave so if they don't have it (unlikely) they can pop round and ask them and get them listed on their site for you to buy straight away.
