They replace the normal Ahead set pre-loading system (star fangled nut and bolt/head cap). Neat, light and a bit groovy (!) if you run it without the top bung.......you can see down the steerer tube as you ride along

You need room for a spacer on the steerer though (if you have a spaceer then the Ringo star will replace it).

I'm only selling because, due to the interface of bike rack and my vehicle, I need to turn the bars round when travelling, so have replaced the Ringo with a locking collar spacer so that the pre-load is not altered every time I do it.
