Nice one cheers, the square taper that came off was about 113mm also.

Sorry about the daft questions, I take it most cranksets measure the same at the chain rings, but because of different fittings etc require different length shafts to achieve that width?

Exactly, different cranks have different dish of their chainring arms.

Cheers all, want to get the bike rideable as cheap as possible, i havn't done too many miles on it yet so popped into halfords and picked up a cheap 113mm isis bracket, i will see how it goes but seems to fit ok, have to wait until tomorrow to fit it as i need the bb tool that fits it (any ideas on where to get one cheap?). Not too optimistic on its lifespan going by what you guys have said but at least it will be rideable again!

Spent all day tryin to fashion a bb splined removal tool from tools at work as im a cheap skate.....failed .Luckily popped into my lbs and they didnt have one in stock so he tightened it up for free :)

Ill have to buy one at some point as I have to put a bb in my hahanna when the frame is finished, at least I now have time to get a cheap one via ebay
