Sledging hill question

Greetings from "darn sarf", I have a question that requires some "local knowledge". Does anyone know of a good sledging hill to the North/East of the Midlands UK?

I ideally it would be accessible to myself heading up the A1/M1 and for a friend making a rendezvous heading from Humberside.

And given the recent snowfall, does it have any skiable snow on it? Thanks.

we use the hill in Darley Park in Derby, but it's not very long (200m).

Thanks orange 71, do you think/know that it will have a good few inches of snow cover over grass?

I have also seen recommendations for "Mickey's Bank", Sutton Lawn, Nottingham (off A3, but Google Maps can't pinpoint it?

Thanks chaps, we went for a rendezvous in Derby, there was plenty enough snow on the hill and it was remarkably good quality too. Induction/lesson completed in a couple of hours, then a fine pub lunch with some very drinkable Ale. 10 out of 10 for Derby!. Pictures etc. to follow in the blog write up soon.

excellent - I'd heard the snow was a bit wet and pretty quiet too as most kids bored of it now...! Always wanted to have a go snowboarding on the park

Snow quality

The snow quality was excellent, with a pleasingly buttery quality, it was clear that it had not yet been through any freeze/thaw cycles that as you know, normally ruin snow at low altitudes. It was only about 4" deep, going down to scraped bare in many places, but on a base of grass it was fine providing you didn't try anything too aggressive.
Afterwards, I had a drive up the road towards Ashbourne and Mattlock to see what the situation was closer to the peaks. There was a lot of drifting in some spots, but equally other areas scraped bare. If there had been a bit more depth overall I might have stayed overnight and done some more exploration on Monday.
