I need to have more of a non-collection of bikes.
So......up for sale is:
1984 Ritchey Team Comp.
Seat Post = 19 inch
Serial Number = 9C10
The finish on everything is excellent! The bike has 260 original miles on it. I have the original Huret speedometer for it which will be included in the sale. I also have the original sales receipt which will also be included in sale.
It was originally bought and lived in Portland, Oregon since new. Original cost $1478.00 US
Note - based on inflation: $1,478.00 in 1984 has the same buying power as $3,349.95 in 2013
It has extra cost original braze-ons for fenders and racks on the seat stays, on the back of the fork, on the sides of the fork. Shown on the receipt.
It needed a good clean and grease.
The paint is 99% original and is near perfect.
I added or changed the following: Mathauser brake pads, NOS period correct cables inners and outers, NOS Shimano rear mech, NOS Magura grips, NOS Suntour pedals, tyres (not period correct but NOS Ritchey), and an NOS Avocet period correct saddle. Nearly everything on it is period correct. The new owner will get all the original bits if he/she wants.
This beautiful bike can be yours for $2749.95 US ($600.00 less than the cost of inflation) ... plus shipping from the US. Reasonable offers considered.
Send me a PM if you want more information or photos. Thanks!!
Yes the wood stem cap is original!
