Reg Baines Flying Gate?

I'm pretty sure that this is a genuine Baines. It looks like a post-war Whirlwind to me. I've owned three Baines, and seen and ridden others. The braze-on mudguard eye tabs on the forks and rear stays are typical of 1930s and 1940s machines in general, not just Baines, and became obsolete in the early 1950s when mudguard eyes forged or cast into the dropouts were universally adopted. I've sent a question to the vendor, and asked him about the serial number, which should establish the period when it was built.
