I just won an M-Trax frame on e-bay (at last)
Its only the 1000 but what ideas do you lot have for it? I want to make it sort of period (will go v-brakes or HS33's though). What colours? I like the 1995 team edition colours. Not sure what year it is not the colours in the 95 catalogue though.

That's an early one, really has to have Canti's on it though, (they look totally naff with Vee brakes) set up correctly every bit as good as an Vee's and lighter. Maguras? Weigh a tonne and squeel like pigs.
Rigid forks (these were not Suss corrected) would use M730 Shimano. Nice win BTW

Assuming the serial # follows the same system as the dynatechs - 1st letter = year of manufacture
A=1990
B=1991
C=1992
D=1993
etc

What about forks. I really like the 1st generation Judy Sl's but if I go suspension should I really be putting Pace on instead?
If I stay rigid what forks there? P2's? Or Rc30's
Oh and would it be sacrelidge to have it resprayed in the Raleigh team colours?

Here's an Mtrax 1500 from 1995 that I restored for my dad. I went for a simple white & black colourscheme & replacement decals. Your frame has very similar features & decals to the '95 model........

That is rather nice looking. After a quote of £300 to have it resprayed by Argos I think 1 colour powder coat maybe in order
