2012 Dave Yates 853 Custom Build

WOW...nice one Andy, you must be well chuffed.

Love the geometry, very Kona like. Should ride like a dream.

:)

Thats certainly worth the wait Andy and I'm looking forward to seeing it at a ride very soon :D

looking good andy!

must admit though, thought you were a shimano man as opposed to sram?

like the english parts theme aswel, i wanted to do that initially on my build but was swayed by the deals available on parts

subtle paint and logos aswel

Cheers

Yeah I wanted it to be fairly subtle and understated with as much UK stuff as I could muster. Dave has never done a bike with his signature in that position so it's a complete one off, he quite liked it too.

I did consider Pace forks, but I know what I'm getting with the Reba forks and they match the colour scheme!

I have 2 bikes with Sram & 3 with Shimano, go figure...

Personally I prefer the positive feel of Sram compared to Shimano though, the Shimano bikes are ones which came with those set ups already on them.

If I build a bike it's Shimano cassette & front mech, Sram shifters & rear mech with a KMC chain! Kinda my trademark drivetrain that.

Your Demon looks awesome so far, can't wait to see it finished
