Royal Enfield made motorcycles in GB up till the 60's/70's(?) and might still do in India(?). They started off making bicycles but I think were probably swallowed up by Raleigh at some point.
I had a Royal Enfield Club in about 1973 but moved on to a Carlton a few years later. It would have probably had Huret 5 speed gears. Not sure how you'd date it. Not sure if the above is factually correct......!
