1997 Kästle(by Atala) ATB

Kastle Trekking Pro

I have had my Kastle Trekking Pro for a decade now, it is very well built and solid. One of my favorites for city rides and it's FAST !!

I cannot date it exactly, but my guess it is a 1990 Model.

It has a Colombus Cromoly Frame with full first issue Shimano Deore DX. Also Ritchey Headset, stem and handlebar.

Rims are Italian FIRs which are also good quality.

"In steel we trust..."

Yes,it's a steel-framed bike.
Numerous cycle-producents ordered/order complete framesets from Taiwanese makers, that's how bikes of different brands could became "relatives".
Or simply in the last years of ninetees that kind of design was a fashionable solution...

Shape of the down tube is very similar to Dawes frames in the late 90s. Probably came out of the same factory.

In as far as it is round?

Dawes were made in the UK 'til 2000, then Czechoslovakia, then from 2005, China and Taiwan too
