1978 Ellis Briggs Favori "Concord" time trial

Just thinking..

By 1978 (the last year I raced) we had given up on drillium and moved onto aero in a very primitive way. Alf Engers tried hiding the brake levers behind the bars and the front brake was behind the front forks. He even taped the laces down on his shoes LOL

Eventually beaten by a better guy on a conventional Raleigh :)

.......the frame looks like a vertical dropout road frame of the same era :)

Hadn't noticed the difference - but that is the 'arm' that drew most of my attention! Must have been a subliminal reaction ;)
