I think you have some serious issues fella. I decided not to post in any of your threads a week or so ago but this sort of pap makes me wonder about your level of maturity/sanity.

So sorry everybody, I’ve been far too busy concerning myself with website/forum/email etiquette, retrospectively with my head buried in posts/emails/websites started by other people, as I wouldn’t want to be too reliant on self importance (Chris Boardman, etc is that a builder or a brickee?). Oh look there is a business called Hayes. I know! Yes they're very nice, but like most their prices are off putting, fair enough if they are the brakes spec'd to your new bike, but to buy afterwards, they are more then we want to pay for considering, they aren't even sold in pairs, so it's just lever, caliper & maybe if you're lucky disks as well! So costs seem a bit much, for so little (Especially if it means buying seperate gear shifters, and different hubs as well!).

Some people have taken offence, oh well what can I say, I'm almost lost for words, no that isn't me. Look people don't take it so much to your heart, you're like a bunch of kids, who has had their lollies nicked off them! Hydraulic disk brakes are great, lot less friction, great power/control, long life pads, readjustment not needed often, no/little brake squeal, and far less heat/aquaplaning fade. Your hydraulic brakes are great, good for you. (Obviously road bikes, don't want the offset of a heavier braking alternative, and besides roadies buckles wheels far less often, and they have really narrow rims, so the conventional side pull brakes are more then adequate for them).

I have a set of Hayes brakes and I'm niether rich or a #### although I've been called worse! and yes on both counts, I've replaced a seal and piston on one of my calipers and it worked fine afterwards but I have also managed to totally kill a caliper in an attempt to fix it

damn! it's official I've fixed and busted a caliper I'm a ####

Doss even, but have managed to fully strip , re-build & bleed my 6pot Hopes

Im neither rich nor a proffesional racer, I just wanted them

I saved up, sold stuff , waited till I could afford them

I cant do a roll back, bunnyhop 4 feet high or do a ten meter rolling stoppie

But Im a happy wee chap when playing on my bike.
