Well i just spent 15 minutes in the garage pondering on which bike to go the shop on.....

The GT for the sheer simplicity of hydraulic brakes and singlespeed - means easy to ride and verrrrrrrry quiet - good for sore head

The Alpinestars looks good great to ride only trouble is i'd get side tracked and end up off into the hills - bonus no nagging biatch to whinge in ear - Downside will probably collapse due to severe hangover.

The spesh full bouncer noisy bad for sore head - hard to pedal - look like a plank with the child seat and no child

decisions decisions.....
 
Its quite clear what the problem is here, you don't have a specific bike for every type of journey that you may need to make. You quite obviously need to buy yourself a 'shop bike'.
 
Or conversely a bike shop. Thus negating the need for a shop bike, and ensuring the perfect steed is only a purchase order away.

And that is that.
 
no thought required here, with a hangover you just want to grab the nearest thing that resembles a bike and head off up to the shop, who cares what it looks like, you just want the whole situation of going up the shop over as quickly as possible....
