What year is the Chesini? I remember seeing these in use in Het Volk around '92/93 (can't remember which team though). They must have been one of - if not the - first 'compact' frames in use by a pro' team. They were Red with the name in a sort of 'industrial' style in white, looked as if they'd been rushed to get ready.

The team was La William - Saltos - Duvel (lovely beer ;) ) I think. Possibly 1991. At that time a revolutinary bike. Michel Cornelisse (NL) was a member of that team. And was indeed ahead in Omloop Het Volk 1992. At the end Johan Capiot was the winner.
See enclosed link and also notice the bike on the pictures:

Thanks for that. At least I now know that I wasn't imagining things! My notes say that it was the '93 event I went to but, quite honestly, it could have been '92! The lettering on the frames was in a badly done 'stencilled' style which looked very 'cheap'.
