Seems to have some bad PR going on in Canada. The consensus is that it's an unfair pricing advantage to MEC (Mountain Equipment Co-op) for the products they will carry, as opposed to what LBS would carry.
MEC has also lauched their own brand of Bikes!

I love shopping at MEC and have been a member and purchasing things there for over a decade. But I don't know what to think about the recent turn of events.
