I'm not so sure on that - the programmes artificially bring forward demand, so what happens when the stimulus is over? All of a sudden, the car market stalls (again)
These programmes also send demand towards smaller cars, harming a number of the premium brands
Not to mention the effect on the second hand car sales ....
