Volvo 940 blown cylinder head - has anyone used Steel Seal?

Evening Folks

I've blown the cylinder head of my Volvo 940 - and not really relishing dismantling the engine during the predicted cold snap :-(

As a low cost solution can anyone recommend Steel Seal?

I can't bear to get rid of the old girl - she's great fun in the snow :twisted:

Isn't there a DIY garage in the UK somewhere? Head gaskets aren't that expensive.

I would say it's unlikely to be a long term fix, if a fix at all and in that case it would lead to your time twice rather than fixing it properly once

if you mean you have blown the head gasket, then no it wont work.
new gasket time.
