1991 Off Road Toad, #172

BoTY Winner
Here's another recently finished project that's been a long time coming. After a very lengthy search, I finally got my Toad. It's a (later) DeKerf made Off Road Toad, #172. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to ride it yet!
It's one of those bikes that started off looking like hell, but with the right parts and effort, ends up looking like a true classic mountain bike.

Again I'll let the photos tell the story.

Great build Eric, love the colour. What a nice choice to have to make; Dog Bone or Macaroni stem

One day I'll get one.....

Re:

That is a stud. Looks so right and ready for business, great spec and layout. Hope it ends up being a go-to bike in your stable!

I know right? Such a drag. I thought the CB stem was going to be it, but it was just too long and looked...too skinny on the front end. Can't put my finger on it, but the IRD is a natural choice on a Toad.

Me too! Problem is I just started putting miles on the Phoenix and I have to knock out a race on the Yeti before I can even get my leg over this thing....might be a month or more before I can give it the shake down it deserves. Waited this long, whats another month. :|
