Languishing in the shed has been the 1986 Welsh rarebit British Eagle.

Some parts put aside for it and some chance car-boot purchases has lead to this rather gorgeous creation.

Not quite era specific but heck, why not give it a bit of bling?

Super rare/ unloved/ unknown/ delete as appropriate Reynolds 531 'Club Sport' road tubing with 501 forks, Sugino chainset , 42/34/23t rings, Mountain LX mechs, 125mm UN71 BB, NOS DNP Epoch 7spd shifters, HG70 cassette, Araya/ Exage wheels, Kona bars, lovely Saracen stem, Frogleggs and here it is...

Its quick! Proper zingy acceleration, not the dead weight of the usual atb/ mtb offerings of 1986.

Its giving old Harry a run for his money

That looks real nice and glad you changed the saddle and tyres as the black just looked out of place imo ..

That looks nice, actually seems better for having flat bars.

You don't see many of these, looking good but the frame seems to suit drop bars better.
