Mercian Canyon project

Thanks for the comments, those are the original forks pictured, I've also got a pair of aftermarket Accutrax spayed in that purple white and spangly orange that came with the frame, not sure which forks to go for but either way I'll most probably go for a respray and let go of the campag cranks, spare forks and salsa stem to fund it all,

Here's my fan boy inspiration for the project  :)

So, I got the LD stem in the post today - Joel did a great job - really nicely made, and did a quick mock up. Originally my plan was to use the original Mercian fillet brazed forks, sell the Accutrax that came with the frame and with that pay for a complete new paint job - also at first I found the orange, white and purple sparkle clashing

But... that was all before doing the mock up, I'm thinking the Accutrax look a lot better in with the new stem and would save me a trip to the painters as the colour seems ok now too - (fickle me?) The only thing is that I'm more used to riding on curved forks so not sure about the ride with the beefy straight forks...

Re:

Sweet LD stem  I think the Accutrax look good but reckon the originals would look better. Appreciate that would require paint = money though

yep I think I will eventually go for the Mercian forks and a nice paint job too as soon as funds allow, in the meantime I think I'm gonna build it up with the accutrax just to get this rolling with the parts that I have,
