The "Say no to Strictly" ride, Saturday 17th Dec.

This is the ride you've been hoping came up - an excuse to get out the house and avoid the Strictly final which your other half is more than likely to be watching. It takes place in the East Midlands near Loughborough, so quite central.

Date: Saturday 17th December

Time: 5.00pm for a 5.15pm start

Location: Woodhouse Eaves village hall car park: see attached grotty map. From M1 J23 take A512 towards Loughborough. Turn right at first lights, straight on at next set. Turn left at T junction and then first right just before “Bulls Head”. Car Park is about 400m on left with recycling signs.

Distance: 15 to 18 miles depending on weather/conditions.

Route: Definitely Beacon Hill and probably Swithland woods

Duration: About two to two and a half hours (depending on single-speed breakdowns)

Avoiding Strictly is a Good idea, must think about a ride or something myself

Definition of near Loughborough as quite central in a section aimed at all of retrobike suggests you dont look at maps much

Only kidding as the main audience for this post is probably midlands based anyway, hope the weathers good or at least less bad than its been lately
