I have just bought a Whyte JW-2 and want to fit disc brakes. There is no problem with the forks but there is a slight issue with the rear.
These bikes along with certain Marin Full Suspension bikes of the time used an additional bracket bolted to the rear triangle to allow a calliper to be bolted to.
This is a bracket made by someone which is similar to what was available:
So does anyone have anything like it lying around a shed or bolted to an old frame anywhere before I try to make one?
