gxp to shimano adapter shim

the left side of gxp chainset is 22 mm whereas right side is 24 mm, shimano chainset being 24 mm both sides.

does anyone know where I can buy the adapter shim to allow the gxp to be fitted to shimano bb bearing?

I have bought a gxp bb which is basically a shimano bb but has the shim fitted on one side - I am after just the shim on its own.

im pretty sure mate that you can shim a shimano hollowtech bb down to fit a sram gxp chainset but you cant make the gxp bb bigger to accommodate the shimano axle. they look very similar but work in very different ways, see the sram website for a proper explanation with diagrams. hope this helps, Bert.

Been thinking about this. The gxp spindle tapers to 22mm.
Now if i took a 1mm strip of metal cut to the correct length abd with , the step will prevent it from dopping inside the bb and the spacer/crank arm stops it moving on the other side..... how hard csn it be? 9 quid seems pricey if my solution works.
