so..all dents filled.......etched, primed, flatted.....now what?
it's an external cable frame with flaking paint. i'm liking the idea of gator. base it up in white tinter tomorrow, then try and find out close colours,,,,,then play with the airgun!
from this (with flaking clear, and a coloured tinter on the rear....makes me think repair)

To be honest being a later Klein it's not worth big money so the gator paint would be like putting lipstick on a pig

Unless of course you just want to try the gator then why not. Personally the later trekleins I think free you up a bit more in the colour stakes as your not restricted to the wild paint but are more free with what you want to paint, nader had a white with black parts/decals to compliment that looked quite sharp
 
yeah, looked into a flair, but i always liked glf, ....god, i hate painting my own things!! at least the customers say "i want this colour"!
but with a blank canvas, no time limits and 20'000 colours/shades/effects to choose from????
it'd look nice polished....annodized........... :facepalm:
 
i built it up, in white, to see how it looked. discs gone and v's fitted, rock shox gone and fatty r's fitted. risers gone and straight bars with bar ends fitted...........all retro and colour coded cables.......what do you think?
(be honest.....not that your opinion will change anything, it's my bike!) ;)
