I have a set of 2009 Fox Talas 140's which im looking to strip down as the stantions have worn.
Ive stripped forks down in the past but not Talas one's.

I understand 2008+ talas forks didnt come with the IFP Valve making them easier to strip.

Has anyone done this full strip down and do i just need to relieve the air pressure and then drain the oil from the lowers, then remove the two 26mm top nuts???

Help appreciatied!

There's a walk-through guide on youtube and I think it's linked on the Fox website. I used it to strip my 2009 36 Talas and found it very helpful. From memory it's quite easy.

The stantions on mine were worn as well with the worst of it being around the foam seal that you can't see. It was going to cost £250+ to fix so I sold them on and bought a different set.

Ive spoke to MOJO Suspension and YES the 2008+ talas forks dont have the ifp valve.
So they are alot more simple to strip down, and hopefully as easy as the 32 F series forks!
